the Lodge is very cozy and comfortable. Staff is very nice and helpful and fun. It's a very nice. and comfortable. We have stayed there 2 other times and enjoyed it very much. It is close to town but out in nature. Fire place is a nice touch. Cozy
There is only one thing that was very uncomfortable and that was the mattress. Hard to move because of it's softness. I don't remember the other times of staying there as their being so uncomfortable.
The rooms were beutiful
Spent a lot of money at the Lodge, Got Married in Banff and had rooms and the dinner at the lodge but the managment were not accomidating at all when it came to getting pictures done in the Lodge. Very dissappointed! Hospitality? I think not!!! The food was expencive and salty was not impressed!
I loved the room, the help of staff getting to the Film Festival, and the fact that the dining room is IN the hotel, and has delicious food.
I found the room could use more lighting for evening reading. Also the internet connection was unreliable. Not everyone I suspect intends to stay and leave behind all obligations, thus if the internet connection had been more reliable, I could have responded to work issues with less anxiety.
I liked having a fireplace in my room and that the room was clean. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and the short walk into town.
It was a bit more dated and smaller than I thought. But in comparison to other hotels (the fairmont) it was good value for the money. The hot tub had dirt and rocks in it, but we still enjoyed it.
The staff were very helpful. The room provided had great views and was quite comfortable. The restaurant provided very good dining for evening meals.
The breakfast buffet was not of the same standard as other dining experiences. Food was cold or in short supply.
The location is good Only 15-20 minutes walk to banff ave But I dont recommend walking after sunset The room is clean The fire place is great idea The view is moderate The bathroom is fantastic The bed matress is a bit hard It is overpriced Afterall I give the lodge a score of 8/10
The price Had to order a fridge The matress is not soft My room view was covered by long trees
Staff was great. Room was nice...standard room included a working fireplace, with prep already provided (kindling & newspaper) so all one has to do is light it! Room was large enough for 2 people, 2 beds, but one may opt for a step up from this for more space if staying for more than one night. Bathroom was well done, including granite counter top. Grounds were well landscaped and maintained. Excellent breakfast...ordered from the menu but a buffet is also offered. The dining room has an array of fresh flowers & white tablecloths. The reception area is very attractive....lots of wood, and a great lodge feeling. A business center was included at no additional cost--a great benefit. Property is located on Tunnel Mountain, about 15 minutes (walking time) from main street of Banff. I would recommend driving as it's all up hill returning to the property.
Loved the natural wood burning fireplace in the room. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were plentiful and comfy.
We liked the real fire in our room which was cleaned and reset everyday
Confortable and romantic
The room was beautiful and included a fireplace we used every night. The restaurant Cilantro was great. Overall the facilities were beautiful and very well maintained.
Stayed here with older teenagers, everyone was happy. Super comfortable beds with duvets. Clean, luxorious. Fireplace was ready to light and worked well. Great view from balcony.
Had to park on the street as all the spaces taken overnight
Good location. Limited options as busy time of year. Food was good. Gardens nicely kept
Very noisy. On main road. Cars are right on top of the rooms. Police called in night. Room very hot. Very poor value for money. Hot tub too hot for any guest to stay in
The mountain ambience. The fire places and hunting lodge feeling.
We had no heat in our room nor any control over the thermostat and absolutely froze. When we arrived, it was stunningly cold in the room and we turned the thermostat up and started a fire in the fireplace. We left 30 mins later, then arrived back late at night to find it had not really warmed up. We slept in our clothes as it was after midnight and did not want to call the staff. It has been my experience in travel that when complaints of this sort are shared, there is no real concern and there is generally no response. We will see if this situation is any different and if there is any response, although I highly doubt if this is even read. I did discuss this with the front desk upon departure.
I and my wife really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and the extremely friendly and helpful staff. The heated floor tiles were added to the luxurious stay as did the welcome plate of cheese, crackers, fruit and nuts.
I have nothing to complain about.
